The Hyde Penthouse Sydney

There is a new challenger for the mantle of Sydney's priciest apartment. Off-the-plan buyers are being sought for the $20 million-plus abode on top of the Liverpool Street block the Hyde.

The Hyde is an innovative interpretation of old world glamour, elegance and grandeur. Its park-front location provides sunny northern vistas overlooking Hyde Park, Sydney Harbour, the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. The palatial 34th level Penthouse is comparable in dimension, opulence and sophistication to the finest penthouses of Paris, London and New York. The interior spans the entire top floor of the building, with a further outdoor level of private rooftop gardens, pool and entertainment areas above.  

The four-bedroom, four-bathroom apartment in a 35-storey block is designed by the Singapore architecture firm WOHA for the Stockland Group's former headquarters site near the Museum station corner. The two-storey penthouse's interiors are to be designed by the Sydney firm Archer + Wright. It will have 570 square metres of internal space and 312 square metres of external space, complete with rooftop terrace, including a 15-metre lap pool with views across Hyde Park towards the Harbour Bridge, Opera House and the Heads. There will be a gym, steam room, bar, a caterers' scullery with oven and dishwasher and a large lounge area with fireplace.
