Gerard Butler's Loft in Manhattan
Gerard Butler is usually a very private man who doesn't like to talk about things even remotely related to his personal life, unless, of course, he makes a joke about it, which is often the case. The May issue of Architectural Digest, though, brings a surprise for fans of the Scottish star, as it features a look inside his two-story New York loft, together with an interview.
A two-story loft in the heart of New York's ultra-trendy Chelsea district. Newly renovated 3,300-square-foot apartment, which has 13-foot-tall mahogany doors, wall frescos and crystal chandeliers. Plaster walls chipped and mottled with age, massive columns supporting limestone lions. A ceiling fresco depicting the rape of Ganymede. The actor worked with architect Alexander Gorlin and film designer Elvis Restaino.
"I would describe the apartment as bohemian old-world rustic chateau with a taste of baroque."(G.Butler)
