12 Blues Resort & Spa, Maldives
12 Blues Resort & Spa is the world’s first hotel residences development in the Maldives to offer individual foreign ownership. Located in Raa Atoll in the Indian Ocean, 12 Blues is just a 35 minute seaplane journey north of Male, the capital of Maldives. Known by locals as Lundhufushi, the island is a 10 acre teardrop shaped coral island with over two kilometers of untouched pristine beachfront. Lundhufushi Holdings Pvt Ltd (LHD), the consortium and development arm of 12 Blues Hotels & Resorts have with the valued support and assistance of the Government of Maldives have conceptualised the first hotel residences development for individual foreign ownership. In collaboration with award winning Singapore based architect firm Eco-Id, the development will push architectural boundaries and creativity to new heights to achieve an intelligently engineered, eco compliant resort of stand alone quality.
Featuring innovative architecture, 12 Blues Resort & Spa will comprise of 33 water villas and 7 beach villas. Set amidst arabesque courtyards and inviting fountains, the main precept of the design was to achieve unity and oneness with nature through the use of geometry. The water villas are unlike anything in the Maldives. Inspired by Moroccan lanterns floating on water, the 3,820 sq ft villas are among some of the largest in the Maldives. Ingenious glass doors slide open to reveal beautiful hardwood decks housing a 957 sq ft infinity pool and a hot tub that sits at the oceans edge with undisturbed views of the Indian Ocean. The bedroom feature polished limestone with intricate arabesque finishes. The grand 4,983 sq ft beach villa share all the features of the water villa but is further enhanced by a private beach, in-room spa treatment beds, a luxurious yoga pavilion and beautifully manicured fountain garden. 12 Blues Resort & Spa will feature many food and beverage options from tapas bars, sushi counters to fine dining. An abundance of water and outdoor activities, magnificent spa and wellness facilities and regular cultural activities.
