JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa

JW Marriott Venice Resort and Spa will open in 2015. Located on the private island Sacca Sessola, also known as Isola delle Rose (Rose Island), the JW Marriott will be the brand’s first hotel in Italy. From the hotel’s lagoon location, guests can see St. Mark’s Square, which is a 15-minute boat ride away. The hotel consists of buildings restored by Matteo Thun & Partners, including a church that will become an event and wedding space. The 266 rooms and suites, some with private pools, are decorated with locally made bricks, glass and tiles. The grounds have fruit trees, olive groves and gardens. Elegant and cozy contemporary-styled accommodations, superb dining choices, daily entertainment, outdoor pools and the largest Spa in Venice.
