Four Seasons Houston Receives AAA Five Diamond Status

The Four Seasons Houston has won the AAA Five Diamond Hotel honor. The AAA Five Diamond Award is the highest level of the AAA Diamond Ratings System for restaurants and lodgings administered by AAA (formally known as the American Automobile Association).

AAA recently granted 124 hotels and 55 restaurants with the Five Diamond Award, one of the most prestigious symbols of excellence in the hospitality industry. Only 0.3 percent of AAA's 59,000 Diamond Rated lodgings and restaurants in North America have received the exclusive rating. Fifteen hotels in the USA, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean were newly awarded the prestigious distinction, including the first high marks for properties in both St. Lucia and the Dominican Republic.

After a three-year, $25 million renovation project, the hotel was awarded for its unparalleled experience of luxury and sophistication. The hotel had invested $4 million for its resort-style swimming pool. The pool, which glows with artful lighting at night, meshes dramatic cityscape views with exotic materials such as Turkish travertine tile, environmentally friendly Ipe wood decking, and lush tropical plants. The pool renovation included the creation of cabana-style patios, a trellis-covered event space, soothing water wall, hot tub, fire pit and poolside bar. Acclaimed San Francisco-based design firm BAMO also created custom-designed furniture and one-of-a-kind abstract artwork designed for the hotel’s luxe new guest rooms.
