Chelsea Clinton purchases New York’s longest apartment

Former First Daughter Chelsea Clinton (now an NBC correspondent and Oxford doctoral candidate) and her husband Marc Mezvinsky are in contract for a $10.5 million apartment at The Whitman, a newly launched condo building on Madison Square Park. It only went on the market a month ago, and the relatively small renovated building houses just four long, narrow full-floor apartments that are about 5,000 square feet in size. The apartment stretches from 26th street to 27th street off Madison Avenue, in the heart of the city. The lengthy apartment is being described as a luxury fortress that requires 30 seconds to walk the 250 foot hallway. The apartment has 4 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
